TO ALL TEAMS STAYING IN PORT HURON, MICHIGAN

DUE TO THE SEPTEMBER 11TH, 2001 TERRORIST ATTACKS, THERE IS HEIGHTENED SECURITY AT THE BLUEWATER BRIDGE. UNFORTUNATELY, THIS MAY DELAY YOUR TRAVEL TIME BACK AND FORTH ACROSS FOR GAMES. PLEASE GIVE YOURSELF EXTRA TIME AS THERE HAVE BEEN LENGTHY WAITS AS VEHICLES ARE INSPECTED MORE THOROUGHLY.

WHEN GOING TO THE BRIDGE AND WHEN COMING FROM PORT HURON, YOU MAY FIND THAT THERE ARE LONG LINEUPS OF TRUCKS.

DO NOT GET INTO THE TRUCK LINEUPS
. THE TRUCKS WILL STAY IN THE RIGHT HAND LANE. CARS, THEREFORE, CAN USE THE LEFT LANE TO GO TO THE BRIDGE. AS YOU REACH THE BRIDGE, YOU WILL SEE SIGNS WHICH WILL DIRECT YOU TO THE PROPER LANES FOR CAR TRAVEL OVER THE BRIDGE ON BOTH SIDES.

THIS APPLIES ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BLUEWATER BRIDGE.

YOU MAY WANT TO MENTION TO THE CUSTOMS PEOPLE AS YOU PASS THROUGH THAT YOU ARE PARTICIPATING IN THE GIRLS’ SILVER STICK TOURNAMENT IN SARNIA BUT ARE STAYING IN PORT HURON DUE TO THE LACK OF ACCOMMODATIONS IN SARNIA.
